So… What Happened to Proto Boxing?
This post is the answer to a question no one asked: “Hey, what’s going on with Proto Boxing?” Well, here I am anyway, breaking the silence.
While there hasn’t been a new release in a while, things are definitely moving — just mostly behind the scenes. I’ve been upgrading to Unreal Engine 5.6 and rewriting the game’s core systems from Blueprints to C++ (yes, very nerdy stuff), trying to turn the prototype into an actual game — something with more depth, like a career mode, tournaments, improved gameplay… and ideally, fewer random bugs.
Until the next version is ready, I’ll be sharing a few short updates with the current state of things. Maybe some progress, maybe some … unexpected behavior. Here’s a few of the strange moments so far.
